About

Koniama is a joint project created in 2026 by two architects who love natural materials. Our common fascination for historical architecture and ecology, as well as our familiarity with the European building materials market, convinced us to bring these certified high-quality products to the Greek construction sector. Our mission is to spread awareness about natural building and to empower professionals to apply it appropriately in their projects.

Dimitris Vamvakaris

Architect, Politecnico di Milano (1973-1978)

Born in Nea Smyrni, living in Koukaki, with significant amounts of time spent in Italy. He professes to be an excellent woodworker’s assistant, a mediocre architect and an unrepentant bon vivant.

Dimitris Tsigopoulos

Architect, National Technical University of Athens (2014-2023)

Born in Piraeus, living on Kythira. He is most proud of his delicious cherry tomatoes. He also lives and breathes for natural building, and lets everyone around him know about it.
